Planning Ahead: Senior-Friendly Dentistry for the Daybreak Community

The proposed Daybreak project would bring roughly 430 new residences to Fountain Hills, including age-restricted homes and an assisted-living component. That's a lot of neighbors who deserve a dental home that actually understands what care looks like at 65, 75, and 85 — not just a chair with better lighting.

We built the practice around this patient

Acute Dental of Fountain Hills was designed intentionally for older adults. Larger-print paperwork, extra time on the schedule so nothing feels rushed, a quiet single-provider office (no chain-store buzz), and treatment conversations that include a spouse, adult child, or caregiver when you'd like them there. Dr. Nathan Smith takes time to explain what's actually happening in your mouth before recommending anything.

The services that matter most

For patients in age-restricted or assisted-living settings, the day-to-day questions are usually the same: dentures that fit and don't slip, implants to stabilize a lower denture, crowns to save a cracked tooth, and gentle cleanings that respect gum recession and sensitivity. We do all of that in-house. If a partial or a full set of dentures no longer fits, we can reline or remake them — you don't have to just live with it.

Coordinating with family and caregivers

We're happy to keep an adult child or caregiver in the loop on treatment plans, estimates, and appointment reminders — with your written permission. If transportation is the barrier, ask us; we'll help work around ride schedules and pair appointments so a family member only has to drive you once.

We accept most major dental plans including many Medicare Advantage dental riders (Aetna, Humana, United Healthcare, Cigna, and many more). We verify benefits before your first visit and give you a written estimate before any treatment begins — no surprise bills.
